Audit Trails for Investor Data

The new Audit Trails for Investor Data feature allows users to track and view all the changes that were made to an individual investor’s data. Changes can be tracked at the investor profile level, also known as “global investor data,” or on individual data fields. This feature is available to all Mako Fintech users.

How To Use Global Audit Trails for Investor Data:

Go to the Investor List from the left-hand navigation menu. Click on an existing investor. For this example, “Adam Smith” was selected.

The Investor Profile for the investor selected will be displayed. To view global changes to the investor data, click on the history icon next to the New Field button.

Once clicked a panel opens to the right of the screen displaying the Investor Data Audit Trail.

Each set of changes is logged as provided in the audit trail. When users click on updates in the Audit Trail a detailed view of the changes appears in a modal window.

How To Use Individual Audit Trails for Investor Data:

The Investor Profile for the investor selected will be displayed. To view events related to any fields displayed, click on the history icon to the right of that field. Note: If there are no fields available, you will need to add a new field.

Once clicked a panel opens to the right of the screen displaying the Investor Data Audit Trail for that field.

Each change to the field will be logged in the audit trail.

Note: Users with many fields in their Investor Profiles can easily navigate to any field by searching for it in the Investor Data search bar, and any corresponding results will be listed.
